Books, Rhyming, Oprah and Germany

Daisy-
            I just finished a book, The Patron Saint of Butterflies, and for the first time in a lloooooooooooonngggg time I actually cried when I finished it. It is all about a commune where the people strive for perfection. It follows two girls,one, Agnes, makes it her life's work to become a saint. She has a rope that she ties around her waist and tightens it whenever she is comfortable. The other girl, Honey, is a rebel who was abandoned at the commune. If any child is bad, they are sent to the regulation room where they are whipped, which they think is perfectly acceptable. However, when Agnes's grandmother comes and takes the girls away from the place, preparing for a lawsuit, the girls discover the wrongs of the life in the commune. A really touching young adult novel that I think is perfect for religious reading with a young adult twist.
            My campaign is doing very well. Katie and I have our posters up and are going to hand out our candy next week.

Henry- 

               Hello it's Henry! First before my story I have to clear up some things. First instead of "Quote of the day" it will be "Quote of the week" since this a weekly blog. Last post's quote was from The Doctor, the main character in my favorite show, Doctor Who. Now my story.  I was mad because everyone in family had a rhyming  name, Jackie wacky, Daisy crazy, Chester jester/Chetty sweaty. So to get revenge I made up a word that rhymes with orange (you could say "door hinge" but it depends on how you pronounce it) here we go FLORANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It means amazingly awesome or cool, As in......."Hi i'm Henry I invented a word, so I am so florange".

      Introducing JAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKIE!   I learned more letttttttttterrrrrs! I have decided that I am going to talk like Oppprrraaah! My teacher Mrs.Ortwien laughs a loootttttttt!  There are so many times I can't choooooooossse one!  Like one time when we were practicing a drill and she made a sound that made us laaaaaauuuugh!  The sound was weeoooweeoo!(German siren)

Our village (Hildrizhausen)

I want to say that I like living in Germany.  Because I like it when it snows.  We have a fire and we get to roast marshmallows in it.  There are windmills here like in GTMO.  There are no telephone boxes here, the kind where you put in a penny and make a call.  Hunde means dog in German.

We have a blog! Our mom let us have one! Yes our mom. We are 4 kids ages 12, 10, 8, and 5. In each post there will be four sections  Daisy, Henry, Jackie, and Chester, those are our names.

Henry:

Hello my name is Henry I am 10 years old and I like Dr.Who and cars, especially Mini Coopers. In my section of each post I will tell a story about my day(s), then do a "quote of the day". First a story. This past week we went to the Black Forest. When we got to our hotel room we were so exited because we got 6 beds, that meant no one had to share! The sad thing was that the beds took up the entire room! All the room was just 6 beds, a TV, a bathroom, and some closets! To "get into bed" all we had to do was walk in and we were in bed.

All that's left for me to do is "Quote of the day"! Each time I post I will take a quote from somebody and list it at the bottom like this...

Yep, its me. I am here just to pop in and say hi and welcome you to our blog. I will probably just use this blog as a listening ear who will actually care about the latest radio show or what Queen Victoria was doing at the time (check this out. Really.) I also may talk about my campaign for student council president with Katie. (Vote for us! I'm quoting Peanuts in my speech!") also I may just talk about random stuff. Like I Love Lucy. I mean, who else will acknowledge the all-important question: Hollywood or Europe? I may also talk about really nerdy stuff like Alcott vs. Austen: which one mastered the heroine? or Quirky Classics (ya know, like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies): way to get Twihards to read Austen or cruel parody of a classic novel. In other words, I will talk about things I like but my friends don't care about.


Jackie:
             Hi, this is Daisy again, my sister has a lot to say but unfortunately she can only type R, F, J, and U.
